The big news is the Video Doorbell 3 and Video Doorbell 3 Plus, the first new generation of smart doorbell in nearly three years.

The latest generation adds an adjustable motion zone, which makes movement detectable between 1.5m and 4.5m from the door. There will also be some improvements to the Wi-Fi technology, which should ensure a more reliable connection as it integrates with the rest of your smart home.

The big feature with the Plus model is the ability to record four seconds of video before any motion is detected. Known as Pre-Roll, this should ensure users are in a better position to figure out the cause of any disturbance.

Ring has also announced the Chime ( £29) and Chime Pro ( £49), devices that are designed to work alongside the regular doorbell. Plugging these into a power socket means it will announce any notifications from the Doorbell, while it also doubles as a handy night light.

The Ring video Doorbell 3 and 3 Plus are available now for  £179 and  £199 respectively.

We really enjoyed the Ring Video Doorbell 2, so check back soon for our full review of its successor.
