The brand unveiled three new products this week as it looks to replicate the success it has had making one of the best video doorbells in other areas of home security. First up is the Ring Stick Up Cam, which appears very similar to last year’s update – it shoots video in 1080p, features motion detection and a night vision mode, and is available in wired and battery powered models, both of which are suitable for indoor and outdoor use. There’s now the option of a solar powered Stick Up Cam, too (pictured top), which is all-new for 2019 – and all three are considerably cheaper, coming priced at just $99.99. The 2018 Stick Up Cam cost $179.99, by way of comparison, with the extra $80 mostly buying you a wider field-of-view (150-degrees vs 110-degrees on the 2019 Stick Up Cam) and the option to connect over Ethernet.

Can you secure your home for just $60?
If you’d prefer to cast an eye under rather than over the $100 mark, Ring also has a new proposition for you. Called the Ring Indoor Cam and priced at $59.99, it’s essentially a cheaper version of the Stick Up Cam designed for indoor-only use. It’s also considerably smaller – measuring 1.8 x 1.81 x 2.95 inches - roughly half the size of its stablemate. There’s only a single, plug in model on offer, but beyond that it’s similar to the Stick Up with 1080p video, motion detection and night vision. Rounding things out is the Retrofit Alarm Kit, which lets you boost the IQ of your existing alarm system. A release date hasn’t been announced, but pricing is set at $199 or $375 for a bundle that includes a Ring Alarm Hub. With the Arlo Pro 3 also launched this week, it seems the smart home wars are hotting up as we approach the holiday shopping season.
